The Story Behind Pinnokio

Built by an accountant, tested in real conditions

After holding positions as CFO and Finance Director in banking groups, tech scale-ups, and multinationals, I co-founded my own accounting firm in Switzerland in 2012. For 10 years, I supported dozens of SMEs in their accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting.

The observation was always the same: an accountant spends 70% of their time on repetitive tasks — invoice entry, bank reconciliation, document classification. In parallel, I was developing BI solutions and workflow automation to optimize internal processes.

When LLMs arrived at the end of 2022, I immediately understood that we could finally automate accounting intelligence, not just data entry. I developed Pinnokio for my own firm: what used to take me 4 hours of data entry per week now takes 10 minutes of validation.

Today, Pinnokio processes the accounting for my 12 clients in real conditions. And it works.
