Pinnokio

Finance leadership

An accounting employee that structures.
You keep the strategy.

Pinnokio takes on the structuring work: sorting, entry, reconciliations, payroll, closing. You keep the financial leadership: reading your figures, deciding, steering. Safeguards worthy of a large organisation, without the organisation.

Sales, their commissions, a batched payout and then a reconciled bank line, all attached to the right periods.

What you delegate to your accounting employee

A colleague who never sleeps, applies your rules and asks for your approval when needed.

  1. 1

    Receive and sort

Each incoming document is identified (invoice, statement, contract, HR document) and routed to the right processing.

  2. 2

    Enter invoices

Extraction, allocation to the chart of accounts, journal entry. If confidence is sufficient, the entry goes through; otherwise, it is submitted to you.

  3. 3

    Reconcile the bank

CAMT, MT940, CSV or PDF statements reconciled with invoices and entries, including exchange differences.

  4. 4

    Prepare payroll and closing

Payslips and payroll entries, ageing reports for receivables and payables, trial balance, dispatch.

An accounting employee that structures, a dashboard to decide

Documents are structured into journal entries by an accounting agent, then feed a financial steering dashboard.
Documents become structured entries; financial steering is read on the same data.

The safeguards of a large organisation

What a large company puts in place with teams and procedures, Pinnokio applies by design.

Approval by an authorised person

Sensitive entries and payments wait for the approval of an authorised person: the agent prepares, you decide.

Audit trail and traceability

Every action is logged: who, when, what, with its traceability identifier.

Several users, rights by role

Each team member accesses what their role allows; data stays isolated between companies.

What the CFO sees

Financial statements

Balance sheet, income statement, trial balance, general ledger, with prior-year comparison and multi-period views.

Indicator banners

Revenue, expenses, result, assets, liabilities and equity, measured by nature or by function, for management or statutory reporting.

Ageing of receivables and payables

Ageing report for customers and suppliers, depreciation schedule, exportable as PDF or Excel.

Cash flow, direct method

Operating, investing and financing flows, free cash flow, drill-down to bank entries.

Custom tables in natural language

You ask the question in the chat, the agent builds the table from your data in read-only mode: it writes the query, never the figures.

Threshold alerts and monitoring

Automated tasks or agents watch your indicators and notify you when one moves outside the range you have set.

Cash flow forecast

Based on your past patterns, the risk per debtor and its turnover cycle: looking ahead, not in the rear-view mirror.

Link operations to the figures

Revenue from several channels

Till, online shop, transport platform, exports from your tools: the connector module consolidates these sources into journal entries.

Understand the connector module

Contracts, projects, invoicing

A contract's cadence, the work recorded on a project and the invoice issued converge in the accounting.

See the contract → invoice case

Payroll and bank

Payroll entries and bank movements are reconciled in the same general ledger.

Concrete examples

Sales, commissions and batched payouts

An online shop receives a payout that groups several sales, net of commissions: Pinnokio links the three and attaches each item to the right period.

See how the connector handles it

Payment received before the service

A school, a hotel, a coach, a lawyer receive an amount before having delivered the service. Depending on the contract and the trade, Pinnokio recognises the revenue as the service is delivered or keeps it on the balance sheet.

Several companies

A fiduciary client with several companies and intercompany current accounts: multi-company reporting is handled in the fiduciary module.

Your role: strategy

Pinnokio behaves as a co-pilot: it prepares, you decide. Part of the accounting execution passes to your accounting employee, and finance leadership focuses on reading the figures, cash flow and trade-offs. This is a possible evolution of roles, not an obligation to replace anyone.

Frequently asked questions

What do you mean by "accounting employee"?

An agent that takes on the structuring work of the accounting (sorting, entry, reconciliation, preparing payroll and closing) according to your rules. It combines Pinnokio's modules and its capabilities (analysing files, producing tables and documents, sending for signature…) to move the work forward. It prepares, you approve what is sensitive; finance leadership keeps the strategy and the steering.

What controls protect against errors or fraud?

Approval of sensitive entries and payments by an authorised person, an audit trail and traceability of every action, rights by role for several users and partitioning between companies. Pinnokio describes its controls and submits exceptions; it does not promise the total absence of errors.

Which financial reports can I read?

Balance sheet, income statement, trial balance, general ledger, ageing report for receivables and payables, depreciation schedule, with indicator banners. Cash flow by the direct method is being rolled out.

How is it decided whether to recognise revenue received in advance?

Receipt of payment is not always earned revenue: the transaction is examined in its context (service, milestone, period) and the revenue is recognised as the service is delivered. Sensitive cases remain subject to your approval.

Does Pinnokio require a particular accounting software?

No. You can use Pinnokio's built-in ERP, or connect to Odoo, Bexio or QuickBooks. Crésus is in beta; Winbiz is coming.
